....

the swell was huge on the south shore today. the waves were coming in at around 10-20 feet. a boat capsized in the channel as it was going out, and people were lined up on the wall that runs along the beach, just watching the surf. of course, this all meant that my dads inner-surfer was awakened after many years of hibernation, and he threatened to make us all go out in it. im a wimp. i was scared.

on the other hand, my dad has enough on his plate right now. he went down to the big island about a year ago to see his crazy mother, and very stupidly ended up having an arguement with her. my grandmother is not the type of person just to forgive and forget, oh no. of course, she pressed abuse charges, though my dad has about 50 people who will vouch for the fact that he wouldnt hurt a fly. (no, serioulsly, he doesnt even kill bugs. he takes them outside and "releases" them.) of course, she has the advantage, shes old, feeble and fragile, and all the prosecution had to prove was that she felt pain. so in the hearing, my dad just plead no contest. he was too afraid of losing, and not irrationally, either. the maximum sentence was a year in jail and a $2000 fee. so now he just has to go to three months of anger management classes- which he has to pay for out of his own pocket.
pray for him, wont you?

this will survive. honestly.

god, havent updated in forever, as usual. must...keep...forcing..self...to...update. i have exams now, so im pretty dead... but i just have to keep thinking about the hours i will spend doing absolutely nothing only a few days from now. that will be lovely. yessir.

so... i have to go and study now. for english. please... somebody do something so i can make an excuse to put it off. i know! ill talk about my english teacher. Ms. Foltz has the most incredible ability to look permenenty disheveled no matter what shes wearing. she also hisses. she would be scolding me right now if she were reading this because my sentences are so jerky, but i have to write an essay for the exam so i might as well get all the jerkiness out now. ok, im done. bye.

the philosophical significance of burying a goldfish.

i have nothing interesting to post about. again. so ill just tell you what i did today, as usual. the day began when i got up for school and my mom called me out to the yard to help her bury a fish that she found floating on top of the pond. Getting up at 6:00 and burying a goldfish whilst only half awake is a very interesting process- not that it was very complicated, really. My mother insisted on saying a few words before we chucked the thing into its shallow grave and put a brick over it to keep the dog from digging it up, and then we just left it. It makes you wonder what its like to only have a life span of a couple years, though, doesnt it? Well, anyway... this is becoming very pointless, not to mention strange, so ill just stop now.

its been an unusally interesting day, seeing as i stayed home the whole time. first, i watched the sound of music. theres nothing like seeing julie andrews waltzing around the alps to intrigue the mind. secondly, i baked brownies, which came out perfectly. this is extremely unusual. finally, i lost both my pairs of jean shorts. we were getting a new washer/dryer installed today, and i forgot to take my laundry out of the dryer before the maytag people came to take the old machine away. most likely my poor pants are still sitting in that old dryer, somewhere in a dump in kailua.

hmph. i was supposed to get my laptop back from the repair shop today, but of course the salesman was to lazy to actaully open the box of parts that came in that morning, so now i have to wait some more. hmm, on a lighter note, i also realized that the comments thing changed once i actually uploaded the page. much joy on my part in that case.

so i guess im back. i really like this layout. i was just playing around with the scanner my dad bought, and poof(!) insperation came. also, new guestbook design.

a breif overview of all the happenings in my life since january when i took this site offline:

1. christmas break ended, obviously.

2. spring break came and went uneventfully seeing as all it did was RAIN.

3. i dont remember specific details from other earlier events, but yesterday the washing machine overflowed and soaked the carpet in the computer room. the resulting soppy mess has just begun to stink, even though we cleaned it up as best we could. ill make this entry quick.

oh, and one more thing. i dont know why it says "poseurs" for comments. i cant change it for some reason. i guess thats what i get for not using greymatter.
